A little about our Founder
Ami Jones is a passionate advocate for sustainable travel and a dedicated conservationist with over a decade of experience in the field. Her journey began in 2008 in Placencia, Belize. Since then, she has worked with organizations such as Natural Habitat Adventures, where she played a pivotal role in launching the world’s first zero-waste adventure and created and led their sustainability efforts. She’s worked across for profit and not for profit companies in student, conservation, wellness and educational travel.
Ami has gained invaluable experience working on conservation projects around the world. From the Arctic to the Brazilian Amazon, Ami’s work has been centered around creating impactful journeys and fostering community-based conservation efforts.
In 2025, Ami founded TerraFauna Journeys, a company with the mission to inspire conservation, one journey at a time. Her unwavering dedication to sustainable, regenerative travel and conservation continues to drive her work as she leads the charge in creating transformative experiences that ignite a love for our planet and a commitment to protecting it for future generations.
